Hurricane Ian

Hurricane Ian

Tuesday, September 27,  we arrived, it was very cloudy and gloomy.

I asked my dad why it was so cloudy, and he said it would be like this for the next two days.

My dad had the news on all day.

According to the news a wave of rain from hurricane Ian was over us.

Soon we ate dinner, then watched Andor till bed time.

Wednesday,  I woke up to the sound of rain.

We ate breakfast, and it stopped raining for a while,

but the news said it would be off and on rain all day.

My brother and my Mom made pumpkin cookies.

They were so delicious that they were eaten on the first day

It was a down day so me and my brothers got to play video-games.

For dinner I had chicken nuggets.

We played games till bed time.

Thursday,  we ate waffles for breakfast.

We did school work, then we played video-games for a little.

Then we watched TV for the rest of the day.

We ate dinner, watched more TV, then went to bed.

When I went to bed, the air conditioner turned on... then something made weird sound.

(the weird sound was our power turning off)

Friday,  we woke up and ate breakfast, the water seemed to have risen overnight.

We did some school work then one of my brothers went outside.

Later, I looked outside and the water was up to our door step.

When my Dad saw it we had to move.

We moved to the road, and while we packed up, my Mom saw a crab.

Scared it under the camper right up into the camper tire (accidental).

(We don't know if it ever got out)

After we dumped and filled and parked, we went to look for a nice beach.

At the first one the waves were going all the way to the entrance of the beach.

The waves themselves were also at least 10 ft.

The next couple public beaches were like that as well.

Once we found one that the water didn't go all the way up,

we walked all the way to the end and back.

Then we set up our umbrella next to the entrance.

My brothers made a sand pit/castle, I helped with the trench.

About an hour later we left.

When we came back, the water was still flooding.

Luckily our spot was dry, we then cooked dinner.

We had ranch chicken with noodles. It was O.K.

Saturday, October 1, we left early in the morning to move to our next spot.

I hope you enjoyed it!
