Fort Pickens,

Florida

We got to Fort Pickens on Tuesday 20 Sep

(early in the morning before we left Pop's house, my Mom saw an armadillo),

we drove about 7 hours to get to Fort Pickens,

and when we got there we could not check in until 2:30 PM.

So we went to the beach, and we saw A LOT of jellyfish.

We walked down the beach for a little while, then turned around to go check in.

Once we found our spot A-15, we unpacked and got ready to go to the beach.

The beach was still covered in jellys so we had to be careful.

The water was warm, but once I stepped out, it got cold.

(even though it was around 90 degrees outside)

After we were done with the beach, we took showers and ate dinner.

We had sausages for dinner, they were okay.

Wednesday 21 Sep,  we had my brother's birthday celebration after breakfast,

we also talked to our Grandma.

We did some school in the morning (I wrote my blog),

then we had to switch spots from A-15 to A-25.

After that, we ate lunch then walked to the beach, we were farther away from the beach now.

Once we got on the sand we took our shoes off, the sand was really hot.

We set up our umbrella and our chairs, then we all went in the water.

Me and my brother found a lot of hermit crabs, but there were still a lot of jellyfish.

My dad claimed he saw a sting ray the size of his arm span but i don't believe him.

Earlier we all did see a stingray but it was about 6 in wide.

When we went to get out of the water, there was a wall of jellys!

My brother found a way through but it quickly filled in, so then we very carefully stepped over the jellyfish.

After a while we walked back to the camper, the boardwalk that we had to walk on was very hot.

Then we took showers and ate dinner.

We had spaghetti for dinner, I ate plain pasta because I don't like spaghetti sauce.

Thursday 22 Sep, we woke up and went straight to the beach after breakfast.

Surprisingly there were no jellyfish.

Once we got in the water, I went underwater with my Dad's goggles.

There were a lot of hermit crabs just walking around on the sea floor.

We went deeper out and started digging with our feet.

All of the fish started surrounding us to eat the stuff in the sand that we were kicking up.

When I went to check out my brother's underwater hole, I found a Sea Star!

Then it was getting close to lunch time, so we started heading back to shore.

On our way there we saw another stingray, once we got closer it moved,

I followed it until it went too fast and i couldn't follow it.

Then we went back to the camper for lunch.

When we came back to the beach, we went straight back into the water.

Me and my brother made a pile of hermit crabs, but they kept escaping.

I tried to catch a fish with my hands but I was way too slow.

Then it was dinner time.  

We went to shower and then we ate dinner.

We had chicken fajitas for dinner.

Friday 23 Sep,  we ate breakfast, then we drove to our next location.
