Glacier National Park

 Glacier National Park

(this is a very very long one)

we were at Glacier National Park for 3 days, and had a ton of fun!

Day one: we woke up really early to get a quick start, so we wouldn't have to wait in line.

only about 10 min after getting in the gate we saw a MOOSE!!!

we saw a male moose with it's paddles in velvet!

                           >>>>>                >>>>>

it was very fogy the entire morning but by mid-day it cleared up!

When we were looking at the trail map, determining if we should hike it, guy said..

"Have you seen the deer?"

He pointed behind us, and there it was, buck deer!

He was just grazing on the grass right behind of where we parked!

to see it, visit this link:

after that we drove all the way to the top of going to the sun road,

and on our way back down we did 2 hikes

first we stopped at a pull out to look at Sun-Rift Gorge

then we did baring falls trail (.7 miles round trip)

Once we found a picnic spot we got all of our food out,

as we were doing that, the deer that we saw earlier walked right up to us!

my mom started packing up thinking that the deer would eat our food,

he didn't, he just kept walking, then we ate!

After lunch we did our second hike, it was called,

ST. Mary Falls, Virginia Falls (3.6 mile round trip)

^  (combination trail)  ^

on the Virginia Falls part of the trail, on our way back we saw a MARMOT!!!

to watch, visit this link:Mid-Day_Marmots_part_1

(there are 3 parts because we saw a lot of marmots)

then we went home to relax.

Day two: we didn't wake up so early on this day because everyone got crabby on day one.

we quickly regretted not waking up early because the Logan-pass visitor center parking-lot was full

Since the parking-lot was full we could not do the High-Line trail

because we couldn't do that, we did a different trail called Trail of the Cedars.

the trees were really cool with all the moss on them, they were really green

no animals on that trail unfortunately,

when we got to the half way point, there was a long detour option that lead to Avalanche lake.

Avalanche lake trail was 2.3 miles round trip, we decided to do it.

it was a supper long and boring hike up

(very steep incline all the way up)

It was definitely worth it though!

an amazing view of a crystal clear lake, with three waterfalls pouring into it.

(it was truly a beautiful view)

My brothers got in the water, they clamed that the water was nice...

🙄but I know that it's cold because it comes from glaciers.🤔

The hike back down was not so harsh because it was completely down hill

still very long though.

after that we still had to walk the rest of Cedars trail😞

once we finally got back to the car, we ate lunch

then did all the pullouts on the way home.

Day three: this day we woke up really early so we actually had a chance of getting a parking spot.

by the time we got there the the parking lot was almost filled, but we found a parking spot!

this blog is getting long so this is were it ends.
